Introducing the Practical Torah Podcast!

Shalom! I am very excited to introduce the Practical Torah podcast where each week we will examine the week’s Torah reading pulling out wisdom and inspiration for everyday life. About a year ago I started to read the weekly Torah portions and do some quick reflections on these passages of scripture. The weekly Torah Portions are just scripture reading plans to get through the first 5 books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. For many reading the scriptures is a daunting task and so the Torah Portion reading schedule is helpful if you do not know where to start. Torah is the basis of the entire Bible and so understanding these five books will help you understand Yah’s word.  I am excited to study the Torah with you and uncover new lessons as we examine the text.

Practical Torah is a show on Rebirth Radio which is a 24-hour radio station where you can find Hebrew music and teachings. This radio station is hosted by Hebrew Nation Building a powerful Messianic Hebrew ministry. To listen to the radio station and learn more visit: www.rebirthradio.net.

The congregation I attend Beth-El The House of YHWH switched from the 1-year Torah Portion schedule to a 3-year schedule so we can spend more time with the text. The difference between a 1-year and 3-year Torah Portion schedule is the difference between reading around 3-4 chapters per week verses reading about 1 chapter per week. View our Torah Portion schedule below:

In addition to being aired on Rebirth Radio Mondays from 8:00am-8:30am EST, you can listen to episodes of Practical Torah on Apple itunes or YouTube.  Episodes 1-4 are available now!

To listen to Episodes 1-4 on YouTube just scroll through the videos and you will find each episode.

After you listen let me know what you think by rating the itunes podcast episode or leaving a comment here or on YouTube. If there are particular questions you have about Torah let me know so I can address them in a future episode.

May you be blessed with Shalom as we seek to uncover the wisdom of Torah together!
