A Statement on Justice & Black Lives from Prophetic Whirlwind: Uncovering the Black Biblical Destiny

Dark am I, AND lovely,
daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.
Do not stare at me because I am dark,
because I am darkened by the sun.
My mother’s sons were angry with me
and made me take care of the vineyards;
my own vineyard I had to neglect.

Song of Songs 1:5-6

My favorite childhood celebrity crush Jason Weaver shared a video on Instagram and I watched because I was excited that he was posting about justice. At the end of the video I was sad, shocked, hurt, angry and traumatized. This video was the murder of George Floyd and again I heard “I can’t breathe” and then I heard “I want my mother”, these cries will stay with me for the rest of my life. I saw the breath being squeezed out of a man, father, brother and human made in the image of Yah and like the millions who watched the video we will never be the same. The world will never be the same. As a minister of The Good News I can confidently say Yah is not pleased with the abuse of his people.

We know that we face difficult times and our prayers are with you all and with our people. The murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arber, George Floyd and now Rayshard Brooks as well as more than one lynching of Black bodies have rocked our world. For far too long racism has been allowed to go unchecked and we have built world empires off of the oppression of Yah’s people. This injustice is sinful. Prophetic Whirlwind: Uncovering the Black Biblical Destiny wanted to share what we have done and will continue to do to work for scriptural justice for Black lives.

Since its’ founding during Black History Month of 2014 Prophetic Whirlwind: Uncovering the Black Biblical Destiny has been dedicated to the liberation of Black people scattered to the four corners of the earth. Our dedication is rooted in the scriptural call to justice and knowledge that most of the Blacks of the diaspora and on the continent of Africa are the Biblical Hebrews of scripture. This knowledge is not rooted in hatred of any group but a desire to help reconcile ALL humanity back to YHWH through Yahshua the Messiah. Reconciliation to the Creator and each other cannot happen outside of honesty and justice. During this difficult time Prophetic Whirlwind is here for you as we continue to undo the lies of Biblical interpretation that has led to systematic racism and sexism, while doing biblical justice and combatting domestic violence. Prophetic Whirlwind does not endorse any form of hatred and believes that racism is America’s original sin.

Read below for ways Prophetic Whirlwind has and will continue to do justice for Black Lives.

Yahshua was wrongly executed by the Roman empire and he understands our pain. Yahshua also was risen from the dead! Cry out to him, do justice, love mercy and walk humbly. The Kingdom is coming and trouble don’t last always. Yah loves Black people. Yah will liberate Black people. Let ALL humanity return to Him.
